Meet Mike

Mike has been coaching people in the world of fitness for the better part of two decades and has been certified for personal training with the ACSM, group fitness instructor with ACE and YMCA and a LeMond Cycling Instructor. Once discovering CrossFit, everything else took a back seat. Mike works hard to coach from the front – everything he teaches, he is able to demonstrate with a high degree of proficiency. Additionally, as an athlete in his 40’s, he is in tune with what it takes to be fit as we add more candles to the birthday cake. Mike is constantly working to expand his lexicon of coaching techniques and cues. He feels that his skill set should be large enough so as to encompass the broad spectrum of movements and people with which we train. Mike’s goal with CrossFit Dubuque is to not only increase the confidence and fitness of all our members, but to arm the members with enough knowledge so as to insure success not only in the gym, but in life. In addition to coaching a minimum of 15 classes per week, Mike also works with individual clients though both program design as well as individualized personal training.
